While statistics are valuable research tools, opinions often form the foundations of good quantitative research development and it is qualitative research that provides in-depth, detailed, sometimes forensic analysis enabling us to explore reasons for behaviour, attitudes, beliefs and fears.
Qualitative research can complement 'hard' data or be undertaken in isolation, particularly valuable for product and/or brand development.
